We love brownies in this house and we also love Reese’s peanut butter cups. So why not combine a couple of our favorite treats? These Reese’s peanut butter cup brownies didn’t stand a chance with my family.
I have been thinking of a way to make my fudge brownies even better then I thought. What goes better with chocolate than peanut butter? So I grabbed the Jiff and the ingredients I would need to make my fudge brownies.
I knew I wanted more than just a peanut butter flavored brownie, I was thinking of chunks inside of the brownies. That would be taken care of with Mini Reese’s peanut butter cups that I cut in half and peanut butter chips.
Homemade Fudge Brownies
The best brownies, in my opinion, are homemade and take a little bit of time to make. These Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownies will take a couple of steps to make but are worth the time you put into making them.
In a saucepan, I melt 1 cup butter, 1-ounce unsweetened baking chocolate, 1-ounce Semi-Sweet baking chocolate, and 2 ounces of German baking chocolate.
Once that is all melted I remove the saucepan from the stove. Adding to the melted butter and chocolate the peanut butter first. The warmth of the butter mixture will help melt the peanut butter.
With the peanut butter melted into the butter mixture, add 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 1 2/3 cup flour. Making sure all is mixed well.
With everything combined, I folded in the peanut butter chips and mini Reese’s cups.
Then pour the batter into a 9×13 prepared (sprayed with cooking spray) baking pan place into a 350-degree oven for 40 minutes. Makes 12 brownies but then again I cut mine rather large.
