Have you ever tried White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies before?
When the kids were smaller and we would do our back to school shopping at the mall for a treat we would stop at the cookie shop.
Now knowing how most kids are mine is no exception they love cookies and yes this was my way of bribing them to behave while shopping.
One year while making our stop to the cookie shop, I picked out a White chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie.
Oh, my goodness, this cookie was so good and I knew I needed to figure out how to make these at home. I think I have succeeded in making a great cookie.
In this blog post, I will show you how to make the best white chocolate macadamia nut cookie.
How Do You Make The Best White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies?
The first thing I do is preheat my oven to 375℉. Normally my oven is up to temperature by the time I have the cookies fully made.
Preheating will help with making sure the cookies bake properly and it will also help with the baking time.
If the oven isn’t preheated then the cookies will take longer to bake.
Moving on to my next step, I had a 2-ounce package of Macadamia nuts that were whole. Not wanting huge chunks of nuts in my cookies I took a knife and chopped them up some.
Whenever I make cookies I always start with these steps.
Placing softened butter (I use Blue Bonnet) or for those that might call it margarine, in my mixer bowl.
Adding sugar and brown sugar I mixed these on low for about a minute until all the sugar looks incorporated into the butter.
I then add my vanilla extract and eggs to the butter mixer, making sure to mix this really well.
Placing a sifter over a small bowl. Into that sifter, I add my flour, baking soda, and salt. Doing this will help make the cookies fluffier.
Then I slowly add the flour to the butter mixture. I like to make sure what I added is all mixed before I add more.
That way I’m not overworking my mixer by adding everything at once and since I am using my stand mixer I don’t end up with flour everywhere.

With all the flour all mixed into the butter mixture, I remove the bowl from the mixer.
Adding the white chocolate chips and chopped up macadamia nuts to the batter, I mixed these in by hand.
Placing the cookies into the oven for 14-16 minutes.
Depending on your oven it might not take that long or it may take longer, this is what it took my oven to bake them at.
When the cookies are fully baked I remove them and place them on a cooling rack.
I tell you my kids sure know when the cookies are out of the oven because these cookies were not even on the cooling rack for a minute and I heard “can I have a cookie”.
Of course, this came from the child that I have dubbed cookie monster, but the other two were close behind asking for one as well.
As a new school year draws nearer the memory of back to school shopping will forever be linked to these cookies for me. I hope you enjoy them ~Jenny
