Remember my killer fudge brownies?
I love that brownie recipe, the brownies turn out so moist and good. Not to mention that amazing chocolate fudge flavor they have.
I wondered how can I make these brownies even better?
Well top them with a delicious homemade hot fudge sauce and a scoop of ice cream is how to make them even better.
Doesn’t that just sound so divine?
Hot Fudge Sauce made with Evaporated Milk
This sauce is very simple to make.
In a medium-size saucepan, I added butter and chocolate. One low heat I melted these together.
With the heat still on low. I stirred in a little bit of powder sugar at a time and alternated with a little bit of the evaporated milk at a time.
I did this until all the powder sugar and evaporated milk was all added in. Making sure also that they are all blended well.
Bring the sauce to a boil with the heat turned up to medium. Make sure you stir this constantly.
Cook and stir the fudge sauce until it becomes thick and creamy, this will take about 8-10 minutes.
With it becoming thick and creamy I stirred in the vanilla extract.
Once the killer brownies are cooled down I cut bite-size pieces up.
Adding a scoop of ice cold vanilla ice cream to a glass. I topped the ice cream with the brownie pieces and covered them both with this fabulous sauce.
You could always top these with whipped cream and a cherry, unfortunately, I did not have these in the house.
One of the things I like about making homemade recipes is being able to spend time in the kitchen with my kids.

Hot Fudge Sauce
A thick and creamy hot fudge sauce.
- 1 Ounce German Baking Chocolate
- 1 Ounce Unsweetened Baking Chocolate
- 1/2 Cup Butter 1 stick
- 3 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 12 Ounces Evaporated Milk
- 1 1/4 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Melt Chocolate and Butter in a saucepan over low heat
Stir in powdered sugar, alternate with evaporated milk, blending well.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly
Cook and stir until sauce become thick and creamy about 8-10 minutes.
Stir in vanilla, serve over brownies and ice cream
