How does a silky smooth decadent cheesecake top with a cherry filling sound?
This cheesecake is a classic recipe that is sure to please most everyone. Let me show you how I make my cheesecake recipe.
Cheesecake with a Graham Cracker Crust
I like to make my graham cracker crust from scratch, so I take one sleeve of graham crackers and place them into a ziplock bag.
Using my meat mallet I pound the graham crackers into crumbs.
With the graham crackers, all crushed I add butter to moisten them up.
Pressing the crumb mixture into a 9 inch round springform pan. Making sure to cover all the bottom, you may also press up the side of the pan if you like.
Easy Cheesecake Recipe
In my kitchen aid mixer, I added softened cream cheese and sugar. Blending until the sugar was well combined into the cream cheese.
With the mixer on low, I slowly added the flour to the cream cheese mixture.
In a plastic cup, I added the eggs, yolk, and vanilla extract. Then I slowly added these to the cream cheese mixture along with the milk.
Once all the ingredients were added I turned my mixer up to medium and beat the cream cheese filling until it looks creamy.
Pouring the mixture onto the prepared graham cracker crust. I then placed my springform pan onto a cookie sheet and cover it with foil.
I have found that covering my pan with foil helps the cheesecake bake even and minimize it from cracking.
Then I placed this into a 400℉ oven for 45-60 minutes or until done. I checked with a toothpick to see if it came out clean.
Cherry Pie Filling Topping
Once the cheesecake has finished baking and is completely cooled. Top it with the cherry pie fill or another of your favorite pie fillings.
Slice and serve this decadent cheesecake and enjoy.
Doesn’t this look amazing? ~Jenny
