Tortilla chips, bagel chips, pita chips, or slices of toasted garlic bread are great to serve with this creamy dip. For healthier dipping options celery sticks and baby carrots work great.

It doesn't take long to put this artichoke dip recipe together. Start with room temperature cream cheese that way it will mix together better with the sour cream. Into the cream cheese base mix in minced garlic, black pepper, and salt, as well as the needed amount of shredded cheeses.

Into a separate bowl add the chopped fresh baby spinach, chopped marinated artichoke hearts, and lump crabmeat. Then mix the crab spinach artichoke mixture into the cream cheese mixture.

Can spinach artichoke crab dip be made ahead of time? You can put all the ingredients to this dip together 1-2 days before then bake it up right before you want to serve it.

Can this artichoke crab spinach dip be frozen? In my option, this recipe would not hold up very well being frozen.

Tips

To get a golden crispy crust to the cheese I like to place this easy spinach dip recipe under the broiler for 1-2 minutes on high. The dish size will also depend on the baking time for this delicious dip recipe.

The deeper the dish the longer it will take to heat the whole creamy dip recipe up. I have used an oval 10X8 baking dish and a round 7x7 baking dish to make this recipe. The oval size one took less time than the round did.

Garnish the top of this crab spinach artichoke dip recipe with slices of green onions. Change up the spices by using garlic powder or onion powder along with the salt and pepper or change them all out for Old Bay seasoning.

Add a bit of spice to this dip by adding some cayenne pepper instead of black pepper. You could also sauté some onions in olive oil over medium heat then add them to the dip. To add a bit of savory flavor to this dip add a splash of worcestershire sauce.

I have made this recipe with imitation crab that you can find in the refrigerated section at the grocery store. I feel that the fresh crab meat does bring in more flavor. However, imitation would be a cheaper option.

Peperjack cheese or an Italian blend would be great kinds of cheese that can be changed in this artichoke dip recipes. Neufchatel cheese would be an option to replace the cream cheese with. Neufchatel cheese is a grainy cheese kind of like Ricotta cheese.

This hot crab spinach artichoke dip recipe would be great to serve with a glass of white wine when entertaining.
