Marinara Sauce with Meatballs

You all know that I love my Instant Pot? It truly has made cooking some of my favorite meals Quick and Easy to do.

I love making mashed potatoes, boiling my hard-boiled eggs, making bone broth and now this delicious and easy to do Marinara Sauce in my Instant Pot.

This is the Instant Pot that I have which I highly recommend, this price is much better than what I paid for mine.

How to make Marinara Sauce in the Instant Pot

The first thing I do is add Olive Oil to my Instant Pot, turn my IP on to Sauté. When the olive oil is heated up I add the diced onions. Getting them almost translucent before I added the minced garlic.

When the diced onion is translucent and I can smell the aroma of the garlic. I turn my Instant Pot off. I like to sauté the onion and garlic first this helps bring out their flavor more.

It's a good idea to make sure that you have all the onion and garlic scrapped up from the bottom of your Instant Pot. This can cause the dreaded burn to come on your IP.

Adding to the Instant Pot a can of crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, fresh parsley, and Italian Seasoning. Make sure to stir everything together really well.

If you don't the Instant Pot will say burn. Plus you want that tomato paste incorporated well so it will thicken the sauce as it cooks.

Once everything is mixed well I set my Instant Pot on high pressure for 10 minutes. When the 10 minutes on high pressure are up I will release the steam handle to the venting position.

This will let the stem out, when all the stem is out the float valve drops down and you are able to remove your lid.

My meatball recipe is basically a double batch, so the last time I made my meatballs I froze half the batch.

Knowing that I would be making my Marinara Sauce a couple of days before I took the meatballs out of the freezer and place them in the refrigerator to thaw.

With my Marinara Sauce done I added my meatballs into the Instant Pot stirring them into the sauce. Of course, you don't have to add meatballs to your marinara sauce, it's very good on its own.

Putting the lid back on the Instant Pot and set the keep warm button on the Instant Pot. I then started my spaghetti noodles, by the time my noodles were done my meatballs were warm.

My Marinara Sauce is very easy to make and just as delicious. Enjoy~ Jenny
