This whipped creation is an indulgence that is sure to make any occasion that much sweeter.

It's easily customizable to your liking as well by changing out the strawberries for your favorite fresh fruit.

Only 3 Ingredients Needed

Now let's talk about the 3 basic ingredients needed to make this easily whipped strawberry butter. Along with any substation that can be made to this simple recipe.

The ingredients needed to make whipped honey butter.

  • Unsalted Butter is the base for this whipped delight. It provides a creamy texture and neutral flavor that allows the strawberry and honey flavor to come through. By using unsalted butter you have control over the salt that is added in. I have chosen not to add extra salt to this recipe because I feel it's unnecessary. However, if you would like to replace the unsalted butter with regular butter you can. You could also add about ⅛ teaspoon sea salt or a little bit less to the unsalted butter.
  • Strawberries bring that fruity burst of flavor and natural sweetness to the fruit butter. You can replace the strawberries with any fresh berries you like. You can also use strawberry jam in replacement of the fresh strawberries.
  • Honey adds a natural sweetness and a subtle floral flavor which complements the fruit nicely. It also contributes to the smooth texture of the butter. You can replace the honey with maple syrup, agave nectar, or even white sugar.

You could add in a little bit of fresh lemon juice to bring a fresh tangy flavor. That will balance nicely with the berries and honey.

How To Whip Up This Spreadable Butter

Unsalted butter whipped in a food processor.

Making this easy strawberry butter recipe is simple. We are going to start with room temperature unsalted butter. Softened butter allows the other ingredients to be incorporated better.

Using a food processor or a blender, add in that soft butter and pulse until the butter gets fluffy. Next, add the fresh strawberries that have been chopped into smaller sizes. You can mash them a bit before but I have found that mashed strawberries add too much juice. Which will make the butter too watery and runny.

Pulse the butter and strawberries until they are combined together and the strawberries are smaller sizes. Next, pulse in the honey until combined. You want the butter to look light and fluffy.

If you don't have a food processor or blender you can use a hand mixer or a stand mixer to get the butter light and fluffy, then blend in the honey. You will want to cut the berries into smaller pieces and definitely mash them a little bit. Then blend them in until fully incorporated.
