Hot Chocolate Bar

December 5, 2019 by Jennifer Leave a Comment

There are for images in this photo. They all show different things that are on a Christmas hot cocoa bar. In the middle of the photo is a box with the words Christmas Hot Chocolate Bar Idea The Kids will Love.

Learn how to put together a simple hot chocolate bar for the Fall or Christmas season. Find some great topping ideas to stock your hot cocoa bar with.

Fall Hot Cocoa Bar

Last year at Christmas I did a mini hot chocolate bar for the kids. I left the hot chocolate bar up well after Christmas last year. Because the girls really enjoyed having everything out and available to us.

This year I decided I would once again do a cocoa bar for them. Only I thought it would be nice to have it available when the weather started to turn and also make it a little larger than last year.

In our dining area, we have a sidebar that I keep extra dishes in. Normally I decorate it depending on the season. I figured this would be the perfect place to make the cocoa bar for the girls this year.

The cute picture of the truck that says Happy Pumpkin Spice Season was my inspiration for the fall bar. To tie in with my black and white tablescape I made another small runner that's sized to the sidebar.

The white pumpkin was also added to help with that tie-in.

I found those cute mugs at Marshell's as well as the creamer and sugar dishes. In the creamer dish, I added mini marshmallows as a topping for their cocoa.

I also found at Marshalls travel cups for the girls to use, these were from Rae Dun. They say Fall Y'all and by the time I took fall down these were gone.

Fall Toppings

I had the white tray already which worked really well for holding the mixes and toppings. I added the clear cake plate for height which worked wonderfully to hold the sprinkles.

Adding the little white pumpkin and those cute Halloween cupcake liners added to the overall fall look.

I found a pumpkin spice seasoning that I also added for toppings, as well as the powdered sugar, chocolate, or caramel sauce.

The girls had three options cocoa mix mocha, milk chocolate, and a smorés. The mocha was the biggest hit.

The cute bucket with the red truck worked great for holding cream-filled wafers and biscotti sticks. The fall cocoa bar was a big hit.

Since the fall bar was such a big hit I decided to run with it for Christmas as well. Boy did I have fun decorating this for Christmas!

Those adorable tall reindeer in red and white were the inspiration for the Christmas Cocoa Bar. I also found them at Marshall's, however, I did see them at TJ Max.

I liked the idea of the black and white table runner on both the table and sidebar so I decided that I would use them for Christmas as well.

The red cake stand I used last year for our hot cocoa bar. This was a great place to add the toppings. Not to mention that cute little gnome along with little snowmen and two white trees.

Since the girls enjoyed the cocoa flavors so much in the fall I decided to keep the same flavors.

How cute are those buffalo check travel cups? I stuffed candy-coated stir sticks in them. Those sticks didn't last long.

Now let's talk about those black coffee mugs. I was doing some Christmas shopping with my youngest at TJ Max and she saw these mugs.

She was determined that they were the perfect fit for our Christmas cocoa bar. I think she liked them the most because they both say naughty, and that's what we call one of our cats. I do have to agree they are the perfect fit for this bar.

The red Merry plate is from the Rae Dunn collection and our cute little Merry Christmas sign is from Hobby Lobby.

The muffins that are on the plate are Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins just in a mini size.
