Key Ingredients And Creative Variations

All the ingredients needed to make stuffed pepper soup in the pressure cooker.

Here are the key ingredients that are needed to make this Instant Pot stuffed pepper soup recipe. Along with some simple variations to be able to put a personal twist on it.

Ground beef is the foundation of this hearty soup recipe. It adds a satisfying richness and protein-packed goodness, I like using lean ground beef.

To make this a meatless version you can simply omit the ground beef. To make it a healthier version you can use ground turkey or ground chicken.

Green bell peppers are used in our recipe to add a sweet note to the soup. Of course, any color bell peppers will work. Red bell peppers would really add a pop of vibrant color to the soup. Add in extra veggies like carrots, zucchini, or spinach to enhance the taste of the soup even more.

White rice is used because it will absorb the delicious flavors of the soup. You could try swapping the white rice out for brown rice or try a different grain. Such as quinoa, barley, or even cauliflower rice.

Red onion and garlic powder help to enhance the savory broth by infusing the soup with depths of flavor.

Italian seasoning adds a flavorful and aromatic dimension to the unstuffed pepper soup. While salt and black pepper work together to enhance the other flavors.

Spice up the stuffed pepper soup by adding in a dash or two of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.

Beef broth adds a rich savory quality to the soup. You can opt for a vegetable broth or chicken broth for a simple variation.

Tomato sauce is a key ingredient in this Instant Pot stuffed pepper soup, it provides flavor, texture, and color. While also playing a role in balancing the overall taste of the dish.
