Whip up this easy warm appetizer recipe for pepperoni pizza dip in minutes. Then serve this hot pizza dip with baguette slices, bagel chips, or pita chips on game day or movie nights.

This easy to make cheesy dip is made with three types of cheeses. Cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese are mixed together with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.

The cream cheese layer is then coated with pizza sauce, sprinkled with more mozzarella cheese, and topped with mini pepperoni. Then baked to a bubbly perfection.

Ingredients Needed For This Dip Recipe

There are only seven simple ingredients needed to make this easy pizza dip recipe. If you are a pizza lover like me then you most likely have these simple ingredients on hand.

The base of this warm dip recipe is cream cheese. I like to start with room temperature brick-style cream cheese, that way it will mix together with the other cheese and seasonings well.

Mozzarella and parmesan cheese are used but an Italian blend would work as well. This easy pizza dip recipe is seasoned with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.

Pizza sauce coats the cream cheese mixture but a marinara sauce could be substituted. Mini pepperonis are used but pepperoni slices could be cut into small pieces.

How To Make

This pepperoni pizza dip recipe only takes a few minutes to put together. But is huge on taste and is sure to be a hit at your next holiday gathering. You can customize this dip recipe by adding your favorite pizza toppings.

In a medium bowl combine cream cheese that is at room temperature with mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix with a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are combined.

I did reserve ⅔ cups of mozzarella to sprinkle on top of the pizza sauce. You could also reserve some of the parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top of the mini pepperonis.

Spread the cream cheese mixture out into a baking dish. I used an 8x5 baking dish but have used a pie plate. Since I went with the smaller dish the dip was deeper and did take longer to bake. When using a pie plate it did take my oven less time to bake. Baking time will definitely depend on the size dish used as well as how hot your oven cooks.

Cover the cheese mixture with pizza sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and mini pepperonis. Bake in the preheated 350℉ oven for 25-30 minutes. Or until this pepperoni dip is bubbly and the pepperoni is crispy.

Serve this pepperoni pizza dip with tortilla chips, bread sticks, garlic bread, pita bread, or baguette slices.

Variations And Tips

This pepperoni pizza dip makes the perfect appetizer recipe as well as can be very customizable. Add your favorite toppings like green peppers, black olives, green onions, mushrooms, cooked sausage, or bacon.

Bring in a little heat with a sprinkling of red pepper flakes. Make this delicious dip recipe a favorite with the cheese lovers in your life and skip the pepperoni. Or satisfy the meat lovers and load this pizza dip recipe up with different kinds of meat. Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes to get that extra crispiness to the slices of pepperoni.

When making this cheesy pepperoni pizza dip the size of the baking dish will defiantly have an effect on the baking time. If the cream cheese mixture is hot, then the pepperoni pizza dip is ready. In addition to crisp pepperoni, bubbling cheese is another good indication that the dip is ready.

This irresistible dip recipe is perfect to serve at holiday parties, family movie nights, or on game days. Store the leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.

We hope you enjoy this easy pepperoni dip recipe that has crispy pepperoni and is loaded with ooey-gooey cheese.

Recipe Notes

I prefer to add all the fresh parmesan cheese to the cream cheese mixture. However, you could reserve some to add to the top of the pepperoni.

In replacement of mini pepperoni, you could cut regular sized pepperonis up into bite sized pieces.
