S'mores dessert board with strawberries, chocolate, and cookies.

S' mores Dessert Board is a great idea to make for graduation parties or bonfires. Start your next summertime party off right with this epic dessert board.

S'mores Dessert Board

If you liked my idea for a charcuterie cheese board then you are going to love this dessert board.

Sometimes my husband's work hours are different. So I'll change things up for the kids and me when it comes to dinner.

Even though the kids are older I still feel like I need to make it up to them in some way when dad isn't at home for dinner.

One time we snuck junk food into the movies and that was our dinner. Then when we got home we had Mario cart races. To this day they love that memory as do I.

A couple of weeks ago I decided that the kids and I would have dessert for dinner. I had been thinking of this S' mores Dessert Board for a while and this was the perfect time to make it.

S' mores Dip

Ingredients for S'mores

What makes this board so much fun is all the goodies that you can use to dip into the S'mores dip or that you can make your own s' more.

For the dip, I took my 10 inch cast iron pan and coated it olive oil, added chocolate chips into the bottom of the pan.

Butter will work as well if you would like. Placed the pan into a preheated 350℉ oven for 3-4 minutes. I just needed the chocolate chips melted.

After the chocolate chips were melted I added large marshmallows on top of the melted chocolate.

I placed it back into the oven for 2-3 minutes. You could also use your broiler if you want more of a goldenness to the marshmallows.

As the S' mores dip was baking I started to get my board ready. I found this board a few months ago at Home Goods. Please tell me I'm not the only one that loves this store.

You can use whatever type of board you like and the size depends on how many ingredients you want to add.

Dessert Charcuterie Board

S'mores Charcuterie board that is filled with cookies and a s'mores dip.

Call me weird but for some reason, I like the idea of charcuterie boards. Whether it be one with cheese or this s' mores one. I had fun finding ingredients to use and then assembling it.

I saved a place in the middle of the board for the s' mores dip. Then on each end of the board, I added chessmen butter cookies from Pepperidge Farms. We love these cookies plain and sometimes dipped into melted chocolate.

I also added Reese's peanut butter cups, chocolate fips, graham crackers both plain and chocolate.

In bowls, I added pineapple and cantaloupe chunks plus around the board I added strawberries. The peanut butter cups and flips were great with just the melted marshmallows in them.

The fruit dipped into the s'mores dip was so good. I also found these waffle chips that tasted great with the dip. My girls said they would like them again to go with ice cream.

Dessert Board

Like I said I really enjoyed putting this board together. Making sure each end has the same goodies as the other end to add to the balance of the board.

Since this board is so large I could add more stuff if I was to do this for entertaining. I can totally see doing this S' mores dessert board for one of the girl's friend get-togethers.

I could also see this board as a great idea for a graduation party. Or if you are having a bonfire get-together this would be great to add extra marshmallows and different candy too.

Of course, you can change any of the ingredients that I used for your favorites. Watermellon would be another great fruit to use.

Then your guest could roast a marshmallow and then create their own s' mores. We really enjoyed this S' mores dessert board and will be doing this again soon.

Recipe Notes

The calories are just for the dip, not anything that you use to dip into the S' mores Dip.

The best thing about charcuterie boards is that you can use whatever ingredients you like. These just happen to be the ingredients that my family and I love. Much love and happy creating.
