Turtle Brownies are fudge brownies that are coated in a caramel sauce then sprinkled with pecans and chocolate chips. These delectable treats are a must try.
Preheat oven to 350℉. Spray an 8x8 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside. I used a glass baking dish so baking time may vary.
In a saucepan add the room temperature butter and chopped baking chocolates. On low heat melt the butter and chocolates together, continually stirring.
Remove melted butter and chocolate mixture from the heat. Stir in eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until all combined.
Once the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract are combined stir in flour.
Making sure that the flour is all combined. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared 8x8 baking pan. Tap the baking dish on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
Place the baking dish into the 350℉ oven and bake for 20-30 minutes. Times will vary depending on the oven. Inserting a toothpick in the center of the brownies, if the toothpick comes out clean they are done.
Let cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes.
While the brownies are cooling add the caramels and milk into a microwave safe bowl.
Using 15-second intervals to heat the caramels and milk. Stirring in between the 15-second intervals. When the caramels are almost melted remove them from the microwave. Stir the caramels and milk together until creamy.
Pour the caramel sauce onto the cooled brownies. Using the back of a spoon to spread the sauce all over the brownies. Sprinkle with the pecans and chocolate chips.
Place into the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set up. Cut into 9 squares and enjoy.
The nutritional value may vary depending on the ingredients used.
