Cinnnamon Sugar Donut Muffins

Easy muffin recipe that tastes like a fried donut. These Cinnamon Sugar Donut Muffins are dipped in butter then coated in cinnamon and sugar.

For the Muffin Batter

  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/3 Cup Butter Melted and cooled

For The Topping

  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 5 Tablespoons Melted Butter Slightly cooled


  1. Preheat Oven to 350℉

  2. Spray mini muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.

For The Muffin Batter

  1. In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  2. Make a little well in the middle of the dry ingredients.

  3. Add the vanilla, egg, milk, and melted cooled butter. Mix together with a hand mixer.

  4. Spoon batter into prepared mini muffin tin with a tablespoon. Scrap the batter out of the tablespoon using a spoon. Batter should be about 1/2-3/4 of the way full in the mini muffin tin.

  5. Place into the preheated 350℉ oven for 12 minutes or until the muffins feel firm.

  6. Allow the mini muffins to cool for 5 minutes.

For Topping

  1. On a plate or wax paper mix together sugar and cinnamon.

  2. In a small microwave bowl melt butter.

  3. Doing one muffin at a time, dip a muffin in the butter then roll into the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place on a plate to serve.
