
Big Boy style old fashioned strawberry pie that is made with jello and topped with cool whip.
Wash the strawberries in cold water.
Remove steams from strawberries and cut the berries into thin slices. Placed measure berries into a bowl and set aside.
In a medium sized saucepan add sugar, Cornstarch, and jello. Whisk these ingredients together.
To the jello mixture add the lemon juice and water. Stir to incorporate all the ingredients together.
Stirring all the while and bring to a full boil.
Continue to boil at full boil for 5 minutes. A continuous stir is needed so the jello doesn't burn. The jello mixture will become thick and darker in color when it's ready.
Once the jello has boiled for 5 minutes fold in the fresh strawberries.
Place in the refrigerator for one hour to set up. The jello will no longer be liquid when it's set.
Top with cool whip and sliced berries. Serve and enjoy.
Pie must be refrigerated is not ate all at once. Enjoy!
