Into a medium mixing bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Using a large mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer cream together the room temperature butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
Into the creamed butter mixture add in the vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk blending until combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients it to the wet ingredients until all are combined.
Mix into the cookie batter the chocolate chips and crushed Oreo cookies.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
