Ingredients

  • Cup Self Rising Flour
  • Cup Applesauce room temperature
  • canola oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Add 1 inch of canola oil to a frypan. Heat oil to 350℉

  2. In a large mixing combine the self rising flour and applesauce together until completely mixed together.

  3. Using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop the donut dough. Gently release the scoop of dough into the heated oil.

  4. Add as many scoops of donut dough as you can into the frying pan without overcrowding the frying pan.

  5. Fry the donuts until the bottoms of each donuts are golden brown. Then flip the donut ball over to fry for a few minutes on the other side until that is also golden brown.

  6. Remove fried donut holes and plate onto a paper towel lined plate.

  7. Allow the apple donut holes to cool enough to be able to handle them.

An optional step would be to coat in your favorite topping. I mixed together 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 Teaspoon cinnamon together for my coating.
