Savor the delightful fusion of cherry and pineapple in this gelatin salad. A burst of fruity goodness awaits, making it a refreshing treat for any occasion.
In a large mixing bowl whisk together the cherry and unflavored gelatin.
Slowly pour the cup of boiling water into the gelatins, whisking together for 2 minutes or until gelatin has dissolved.
Pour the cold water into the gelatin mixture and stir together.
Add in the canned cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple with juice. The juice will add to the pineapple flavor. Mix together well.
Spray a jello mold or bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour the cherry pineapple gelatin mixture into prepared mold and refrigerate until the gelatin sets. This will take 2-4 hours.
Once gelatin has set allow it to come to room temperature or place mold in a hot water bath. Be careful to not leave the jello mold to sit to long or the gelatin salad will become runny.
Cover the gelatin mold with a platter and flip both the platter and mold over to allow the gelatin salad to come out of the mold.
Serve and enjoy.
