Over the top grilled hot dog and bun that is topped with creamy cheddar cheese and chili sauce. With a sprinkle of red onion.
Heat the grill up. I turned all three burners on high and let it come up to 350 degrees. Then dropped the burners to medium low for cooking.
Taking the hot dogs out of the package I split them down the middle length wise. So they looked like they were butterflied.
Place the hot dogs spilt side down on the grill and cook 3-4 minutes on each side or until you have the desired doneness you want.
Spread the butter on the inside of each of the hot dog buns.
Place the butter side of the buns down on the grill and cook until crispy. This took me about 2-3 minutes to achieve the crispness I was looking for.
Dice the red onion into small bite size pieces, set a side.
Open the can of beans, place into a bowl and heat up in the microwave. Set a side until ready to assemble hot dogs.
Heat the jar of cheddar cheese sauce in the microwave. Set a side until ready to assemble hot dogs.
Place the hot dogs on buns. Spread chili, cheddar cheese sauce, and sprinkle with onion.
Add any other condiments that you prefer and enjoy.
