
Making homemade applesauce just got easier thanks to the Instant Pot. This delicious fall inspired recipe makes the perfect side dish recipe.
Peel, core, and cut apples into small chunks. Place the apples into the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
Cover the apples with the water and add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir all the ingredients together.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot, turn the valve to sealing. Press the pressure cook button and adjust the cook time to 5 minutes.
Once the cooking time is done allow to do a natural release for 10 minutes. Turn the valve to release any steam.
Stir the applesauce and blend with an immersion blender or potato mashed until the desired smoothness is achieved.
Serve warm or cold, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5-6 days.
