
These delicious banana applesauce muffins with mini chocolate chips are a simple recipe to make. They bake up moist and are loaded with flavor.
Preheat the oven to 350℉ and prepare a muffin tin with either paper liners or spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer add in the bananas, use a for to mash the bananas.
Into the mashed bananas add in the brown sugar, applesauce, and egg. Mix until combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix until all the flour mixture is combined. Be careful not to over-mix.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips using a rubber spatula. Fill the prepared muffin tin with the batter. You want the muffin cups about ⅔ of the way full.
Place in the preheat 350 degree oven and bake for 18-20 minutes. Or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the muffin.
Place on a wire cooling rack to cool and enjoy.
