What Is Needed To Make Egg Bites
Would you believe I never had Sous Vide Egg Bites from Starbucks before? I'm not one to buy coffee out unless we are on vacation, so I never knew Starbucks had these.
I happen to come across the egg molds at Kolh's one day while shopping. Being that it was an accessory for an Instant Pot I knew I had to have it.

Now I have made hard-boiled eggs in my IP many times. So I thought making egg bites would be just as easy to do, and they are.
What tools you will need to make these bites.
- Instant Pot I used my 6-quart but you can make them in a bigger size IP. Just adjust the amount of liquid needed for your size.
- Silicone Egg Mold
- Instant Pot Trivet to hold the egg mold inside the IP
- Liquid Measuring Cup
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Fork
The ingredients you will need are.
- Eggs
- A variety of bell peppers
- Canadian Bacon
- Salt
- Pepper
- Water

How To Make Bites In An Instant Pot
Now I'm about doing things as simple and with few dishes as possible. That is where the liquid measuring cup comes into play. Crack the eggs into the measuring cup. Using a fork whisk the eggs until they are scrabbled. Set the measuring cup aside.
For my bites, I used orange, red, yellow, and green bell peppers. I like the different colors and flavors each gives. You can use as many or as little as you like.
Using my cutting board and knife I cut each of the bell peppers into fine chunks. I did this as well with the Canadian bacon. Add the chunked up peppers, bacon, salt, and pepper into the eggs that are in the measuring cup. Whisk all the ingredients together.

Pour the egg mixture into the silicone mold that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Spraying the egg mold with cooking spray helps get the bites out without falling apart. If one egg bite looks like it has more meat or veggies than the other. Use a fork to remove some and add into another egg bite that might need more.
How Long Do The Bites Cook For
Once the egg mixture is in the silicone mold, place the mold on the trivet that came with your Instant Pot.
A silicone trivet might come in handy when making these egg bites. The handles lock together for more stability when removing the mold from the IP. I prefer to use mine for this recipe.
Before adding the trivet with egg mold into the inner pot you will need to add the correct amount of water for your Instant Pot.

My 6-quart only needs 1 cup of water whereas my 8-quart needs 1 ½ cups of water. It's important to have the correct amount or your IP will not come to pressure.
Once you have the water added into the inner pot go ahead and add the trivet with egg mold into the inner pot. Place the Instant Pot lid on and close the sealing valve.
Some models will automatically set to sealing on its own but some you have to turn the sealing knob.
Press the pressure cook button and adjust the time to 10 Minutes. It will take the Instant Pot about 2-3 minutes to heat up before it starts the cooking time. After that is when it will count down from 10 to 0.
At the end of the cooking time, the Instant Pot will beep. With the cooking time done, you will want to do a 10-minute natural release.
A natural release means that the pressure will slowly release from Instant Pot without you having to do anything.
The front of your IP will say L10 when it's been 10 minutes. There might still be some steam inside so you will need to release your sealing valve.
How Can I store The Egg Bites

Remove the trivet and egg mold from the Instant Pot. Spraying the silicone mold with cooking spray helps the egg bites to pop right out. I usually press the bottom of the mold and they pop up.
You can store the bites in their molds in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Just use the cover that came with the silicone mold or you can place them into your preferred storage container.
If you choose to refrigerate them, they can be reheated in the microwave for about 30 seconds each. This is a perfect beginner recipe if you are new to using the Instant Pot. If you haven't done the water test yet I highly recommend doing it.
