This easy fruit dip recipe is made with cream cheese and marshmallow fluff and can be ready in under 5 minutes. It's so simple to make, the kids would love to make this for a great after-school snack. What a great way to get them to try all types of fruit.

This creamy dip recipe is perfect for a baby shower, bridal showers, birthday parties, and graduation parties. It is also a great dip recipe that can be enjoyed on a hot summer day with a variety of fruits.

At the bottom of this article, we have the recipe card with the full instructions that can be printed.

How To Make

Have you ever bought that fruit dip at the store? I love the flavor of that dip but I thought why not make our own fruit dip? Now I know this dip isn't the same as the store brought dip but it's still pretty good. And it only uses 2 simple ingredients.

Into a large mixing bowl whip regular cream cheese until it's nice light and fluffy. Then fold in marshmallow creme, that's it, pretty simple. It's nothing fancy but is sure to be a favorite recipe that the kids will want to make. This creamy dip is so easy that they can make it as an after school snack to enjoy with apple slices, graham crackers, or their favorite cookies.

Tips and Substiutions

This amazing dip is simple to make but we do have a couple of tips to help make it even easier. I prefer to use room temperature cream cheese and whip it with a hand mixer. Softened cream cheese will mix with the marshmallow cream better.

When adding in the marshmallow fluff I would advise folding it in with a rubber spatula. Folding in the marshmallow will help to keep this cream cheese fruit dip fluffy.

As for substitutions for this easy recipe, the first would be the cream cheese. We used block cream cheese, you could use the store-bought whipped kind. Then you could try the different flavors like the blueberry or strawberry whipped cream cheese. For a lighter version make it a cool whip fruit dip by using a lite cool whip in replacement of the marshmallow cream.

Variations And Questions

Besides using whipped cream cheese in strawberry flavor. Try adding in a bit of orange juice to make this an orange fruit dip recipe. Add in a couple of splashes of pure vanilla extract to this creamy fruit dip for a vanilla flavor.

Or how about making it a cherry fruit dip by adding in some maraschino cherry juice? Sprinkle some mini chocolate chips on top of this creamy fruit dip for added sweetness.

Can fruit dip be frozen?

I have not frozen this recipe, since it's made with marshmallow fluff I don't think it would freeze well. I would think the consistency of this dip would be affected once unthawed.

How To Store Fruit Dip?

This simple fruit dip recipe should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Can the dip be made ahead of time?

You could make this dip up 2-3 days before needed as long as it's stored in an airtight container. It's such a simple dip to make I find it easier to make it right before any gatherings.

With summer fast approaching I'm going to make sure to keep the ingredients to make this sweet dip recipe on hand. Along with our favorite fresh fruits, graham crackers, and nilla wafers for dipping into this amazing dip. A dish of this delicious dip in the center spot of a fruit tray. Sounds like a great snack to enjoy on a warm summer day.
