Simple, Perfect Chili Recipe

A Simple Perfect Chili Recipe

This simple and quick chili recipe is thick and full of flavor. Loaded with ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and a tomato sauce.

It's supposed to be springtime here in Michigan but mother nature seems to be having a hard time remembering this.

Bowl full of chili

This last week it was so cold that we even had an ice storm that blessed the kids with a day off of school.

So why not make a quick and simple chili recipe to help take the chill out of us.

How To Make The Best Chili

All the ingredients to make chili; ground beef, tomato sauce, onion, seasonings, garlic, tomato paste, and beans.

My recipe only has 10 ingredients but has a lot of flavors.

Here are the ingredient you will need.

  • Ground Beef
  • Diced Canned Tomatoes
  • Chili Beans
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Canned Chopped Green Chilis
  • Chili Seasoning
  • Onion
  • Minced Garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Seasoning Salt

This simple and easy recipe can be done on the stovetop or crockpot.

Start by frying up the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a frying pan, season with pepper, seasoning salt, and half the package of chili seasoning.

Once the meat is fully cooked (no pink) drain any fat drippings from the meat. I like to keep a can under the kitchen skin to drain any fat dripping into.

While the meat is cooking you can add to a large saucepan canned tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, green chilis, and the other half of the chili seasoning.

Once the ground beef is fully cooked add to it to the saucepan.

Mix all the ingredients together and simmer on low for 15-20 minutes.

Bowl of Chili.

My family doesn't like too spicy of food, so this recipe isn't all that spicy. If you would like it spicier you could always add some hot sauce or more chili seasoning.

Top this delicious bowl of chili off with a sprinkling of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream. A nice slice of cornbread goes really well with this recipe.

This is the perfect comfort food recipe for those cold winter nights.
