One of my favorite times of the year is Christmas and decorating for this holiday. There are so many reasons why I love it, the celebration of Christ's birth.
With the holiday baking, special times with family, planning our family movie nights, traditions that we have made with the kids, and of course decorating our home.
Today I'm going to show you how I made a simple change to the foyer in preparation for Christmas Decorations.

As you walk through our front door you enter our foyer. It's not a huge space but it does serve its purpose of welcoming guests.
Last year at Christmas I decided to go with the rustic theme for decorations. This year I plan on doing the same theme in the foyer but with some changes.
This HOME sign as you can see from the picture hangs on the wall next to the front door.
I have had many compliments on this sign, I have to say I'm pretty proud of how it looks. On one of my many trips to Hobby Lobby, I had a thought come to me about this sign.
Hobby Lobby is my favorite store, my youngest asked me one day while we were in the store "Wouldn't it be cool if we had our own Hobby Lobby store".
This girl is a crafter at heart as well, there was a point where she was saying she would like to be an interior designer when she grows up.
In fact, the fall bow on the sign was her idea, boy oh boy was she happy when she saw that I used her idea.
Mini Wreath Christmas Decorations
Anyway back to my thought on the sign, as I was walking with a happy glow to my face in the Christmas section. Noticing all the signs, peace, joy, Christmas, and Noel.
That Noel was what hit me. Going over to the large black letters and finding them on sale I pick up an N and L. I already had a thought on how I would change the O, but that was just for keeping the HOME.
I have a love of making wreaths, but a girl only needs so many wreaths for her own home.
Since I already had the perfect size wreath, (yes I also purchased it at Hobby) I went searching for some little type of accents.
These mini cone and berry picks would give me a little bit of that rustic look I'm trying to accomplish for the foyer. Knowing that I had the perfect ribbon already I headed for home to get started.
In the video, I'll show you how easy it was to put everything for the wreath together.
How To Hang The Noel Sign
Wanting to deck the wall without wreaking the wall, I use command velcro strips on the backs of the letters. I already had a nail for the O in place, so that's how I hung the wreath again.
Using the E from my HOME sign, just changing the placement, helped save me in the cost of the NOEL sign.
I also was able to get the N and L 50% off, and the wreath and berry picks were also on sale. With what I already had and with buying everything on sale I ended up only spending $12.76 for everything.
This was a simple and easy DIY project to do.
I'm excited to show you more of my Christmas decorations in the weeks to come. Be sure to sign up for our emails so you don't miss the newest blog posts.
