How To Make Mini Pigs In A Blanket
These Lil smokies pig in a blanket are so quick to make using refrigerated crescent rolls and little smoke sausages. The hardest part I think about making these is waiting until they bake.
Using refrigerated crescent roll dough, roll out and separate the dough on the perforated seam. This may be best to do on a lightly floured surface so the dough doesn't stick to the countertop.
Using a butter knife cut the top part of the crescent triangle off. Cutting the remaining dough in half at an angle. Make three mini triangles to wrap around the little smokies.
Taking the little smokies place one on each dough triangle then wrap them in the cut crescent roll. I start at the widest part of the dough and roll to the tip of the triangle. Press the seams together and set the wrapped mini pigs on a cookie sheet.
When you have all the little smokies wrapped up place them into a 375℉ preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. Or until they are golden brown in color.
You can always substitute the little smokies for Vienna sausage or hot dogs that have been cut into smaller bites.
Dip these little crescent dogs into your favorite mustard or pizza sauce. These are also good dipped in ranch dressing.
These make great appetizers for any holiday. These mini pigs in a blanket are often on the menu for our Christmas Eve appetizers for dinner night.
