3 Ingredients Needed

Now, let's break down the three simple ingredients for this easy lemon blueberry cobbler recipe and explore potential substitutions.

The star of the show or I mean dessert, is frozen or fresh berries to infuse your cobbler with that sweet-tart burst of flavor. Fresh blueberries are fantastic when they're in season, but frozen berries work just as well.

If blueberries aren't your thing, try a different type of fruit altogether. Like raspberries, blackberries, or a berry medley for a unique twist.

Cake mix is the secret to this cobbler recipe's simplicity. I used a lemon cake mix for this delicious lemon blueberry cobbler recipe. However, you could use a box of yellow cake mix or even a white cake mix.

Or how about adding a touch of warmth to your cobbler recipe by using a spice cake mix?

For a gluten-free version of this sweet treat, opt for a gluten-free cake mix. Many brands offer gluten-free options in various flavors nowadays. You will also want to confirm that your other ingredients are also gluten-free.

If you are watching your sugar intake, look for sugar-free or low-sugar dry cake mix options. Just remember blueberries contain natural sugars.

Unsalted butter is the third and final ingredient in this cake mix cobbler recipe. It adds richness and that irresistible golden, crispy top to your cobbler. While butter is the classic choice, you can explore margarine or dairy-free alternatives.

Feel free to experiment with these substitutions to suit your taste and dietary requirements. The beauty of this 3-ingredient blueberry cobbler lies in its versatility. So don't be afraid to get creative in the kitchen!

Effortless Blueberry Bliss

Creating this 3-ingredient lemon blueberry cobbler recipe is a breeze. And like always I'm here to guide you through the incredibly straightforward process.

Next, grab a 9x13 baking dish and spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Add the frozen berries across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Into a medium mixing bowl melt two sticks of butter. I like to start with room temperature butter first, I feel it doesn't get the butter as hot when melting. So that means it's less likely to explode in the microwave.

A mixing bowl with the dry cake mix and melted butter in it.

Into the melted butter add the dry ingredients from the cake box. Mix the cake mix and butter together until combined.

Spread the lemon cobbler mixture over the top of the berries the best you can. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 50-60 minutes.

Or until the top of the delicious lemon blueberry cobbler is golden brown. Since every oven bakes differently I would start checking on it around the 45-minute mark.
