Don't you just love hot cocoa? My girls love to have a cup of hot cocoa first thing in the morning or in the evening for a snack.
This Christmas season I decided to put together a small hot cocoa bar for them. They liked it so much that I decided that it would stay up all winter season.
Here is what I did to put this small bar together for them.

At first, I had trouble finding exactly what I wanted to use to put all the bar goodies on. Then I found this beautiful red cake stand during the Christmas season at Home Goods.
Since I decorate my kitchen with red accent colors this cake stand still looks good even with all my Christmas decorations down. I found these adorable coffee cups at Home Goods.
As you can see I place the bar right next to my coffee maker, thinking I might add some of these treats to my morning coffee as well.
A few years ago I found those three cute bottles with chalkboard tags on them for hot cocoa. Filling each one of the bottles up with different types of instant cocoa gives the kids options to drink.
I filled the first one with White Chocolate Cocoa, the second is filled with Double Chocolate Cocoa. The last one is filled with S'mores Cocoa.
My girls love the double chocolate and S'mores the most and I'm kind of fond of the white chocolate.
In the middle of the cake stand sits this Merry little bowl. I filled it first with peppermint flavor marshmallows and Pepperidge Farm Pirouette Creme filled wafers.
As the season goes or as fast as the treats go I can change them out. Finding clever treats to fill this Merry little bowl has been fun.
The Best Hot Cocoa Toppings
Who doesn't love sprinkles and what better way to dress up your hot cocoa than with some sprinkles. I bought the shakers from my local grocery store, sprinkles I stenciled on myself.
The kids love having options for different sprinkles, I believe the chocolate sprinkles are the most used.
In squeeze bottles, I added chocolate and caramel syrup. A little drizzle of each on top adds to the yummiest of the cocoa.
Finishing touches for the Hot Cocoa Bar
Placing the snowmen and snowwomen pepper and salt shakers along with a red berry pick for a little decoration on the stand really helped make it festive.
Because I used a cake stand to make the little hot cocoa bar we can place the cups under the stand. It's nice to have the cups readily available for a spur-of-the-moment cup of hot cocoa.
Along with all these great toppings I keep a thing of Ready Whip in the refrigerator.
During the Christmas season, when we have our family movie nights. I'll make my Crockpot Hot Cocoa Recipe, then they can use the bar for their toppings.
What could be better than a nice cup of hot cocoa topped with cool whip? Drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce, dashed with colorful sprinkles.
By having a hot cocoa bar set up makes it fast and easy to have a delicious cup of hot chocolate at any time.
Here's to cooler winter days and nights filled with a warm cup of Hot Chocolate~ Jenny
