One of our biggest cocktail recipes on the blog has been our Bahama Mama recipe.

So we thought we would bring you another orange juice cocktail recipe that you may enjoy.

Ingredients For A Mimosa Cocktail

This recipe is for a classic mimosa. As with most drinks, a quick search shows many variations of the recipe.

However, for this recipe, we wanted to be straightforward and keep it classic.

Champagne and orange juice in a flute glass.

I don't know about you but when I think of a Mimosa I'm reminded of brunch, weddings, showers, graduations, or one of many spring or summertime get-togethers.

However, this recipe can really be enjoyed anytime whether with friends or on your own.

The ingredients are straight forward and we do leave room for flexibility with the main ingredient.

A Mimosa can be made with champagne or any sparkling wine that you prefer.

You may be wondering what the difference between champagne and sparkling wine is? Champagne is made in a specific region in France while sparkling wine is made elsewhere.

Of course, there are exceptions to this rule but to keep it simple just know that champagne is a type of sparkling wine.

And this is where the room for flexibility comes in as you can use any sparkling wine that you prefer in this recipe.

How To Make A Classic Mimosa

Mimosa in a tall glass.

Using a champagne flute pour in the orange juice, triple sec, and sparkling wine that has been chilled.

You will want to stir this well and then if you like, garnish with an orange slice. If you prefer you can add ice to make it even more chilled.

When it comes to orange juice I prefer to use the no pulp kind. What is triple sec you might be asking?

Triple Sec is an orange liqueur that is used in many different drinks.

We feel triple sec is a good staple in our home bar so we always have a bottle on hand.

We hope you enjoy our recipe for this crisp bubbly sweet citrus Mimosa Cocktail.

This time we are answering the question "what's there to drink" with simple rrecipe creations ~ Jen
